DT Spare Parts supplies mirror glass, mirror arms and housings covering additional applications. Frequently asked questions

What mirror class do I need for my HGV?

HGVs registered after 2007 must be fitted with Class II, IV and V mirrors under EC Directive 2003/97/EC. Class II is the main rear-view mirror. Class IV provides a wider angle view of the nearside. Class V covers the close-proximity zone directly adjacent to the cab. Check the existing mirror for its class marking before ordering a replacement.

Are heated truck mirrors required?

Heated mirror glass is not a legal requirement, but it is standard on most modern HGVs for practical reasons. Heated glass prevents condensation and icing, maintaining visibility in poor weather. All heated glass in this range operates at 24V.

How do I find the right mirror glass for a DAF XF Euro 6?

The DAF XF Euro 6 uses separate main mirror glass (Class II) and wide-angle mirror glass (Class IV). Both are available in left or right hand fitment. The main glass is 363 x 177mm with a 1200 radius; the wide-angle is 211 x 192mm with a 300 radius. Confirm the class and hand before ordering.

Do you stock complete mirror assemblies or just glass?

Both. Complete twin mirror and arm assemblies are stocked for Mercedes Actros MP3 applications in electric and manual configurations. Mirror glass only is available for DAF XF Euro 6 and Iveco applications. DT Spare Parts also supplies mirror arm and housing components.

Can I get truck mirrors delivered next day?

Yes. In-stock truck mirrors and mirror glass are available for next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses, or same-day collection from our branches in Redditch, Worcester, Birmingham and Evesham.
