Pollux9+ Strobe – an auxiliary light with extra everything!

Pollux9+ Strobe is a further development of Ledson’s immensely popular Pollux9+ Gen 2. In addition to a wide and long light pattern with the Driving beam from the TIR reflectors with 480 meters at 1 Lux, it also has selectable position light (white or orange), stable attachment, electronic temperature optimization, Goretex pressure equalization membrane and all that which distinguishes the standard Pollux9+. The Pollux9+ Strobe also has an ECE R65 approved strobe light. This warning light consists of four powerful LEDs that can be set in five different flash patterns.

TIR reflectors

TIR stands for Total Inner Reflection and means that all light is effectively reflected and directed before it is sent out from the reflector. The spill light (the light that is not directed but which disappears “unfocused” from the light without making any real use) is minimized. In summary, you get more efficient light on the road and take full advantage of every LED on the auxiliary light with the TIR reflectors.

Installation instructions for cables (detailed instructions included with the product):

Strobe pattern synchronization: Connect the blue wires of two or more auxiliary lights, then momentarily connect these to the positive terminal for 3 seconds to reset the strobe frequency on all connected lights, then all flash patterns are shifted.

Pulse-controlled Powerboost - It doesn't get smoother than this.

The Pollux9+ Gen3 comes equipped with Powerboost – an extra power mode for those moments when you need maximum illumination. You can conveniently switch between standard and power boost mode from the driver's seat in your vehicle. With the new generation of Powerboost from Ledson, switching modes is easy with the light switch through a few simple steps.

Switch to Powerboost mode with "10+10+5"

This is done most easily with the 'light switch' when the light switch is in off or parking light mode.

Turn on the auxiliary light for about 10 seconds (between 7-13 seconds)

Flash the auxiliary light rapidly 10 times (within 10 seconds)

On the eleventh flash, hold the light on and after about 5 seconds the Powerboost function will automatically switch on or off.

TIR reflectors

TIR stands for Total Internal Reflection and means that all light is effectively reflected and directed before it is emitted from the reflector. Spill light (the light that is not directed but disappears "unfocused" from the lighting without actually serving any purpose) is minimized. A traditional reflector directs and focuses most of the light but far from all; Pollux 9+ has these TIR reflectors for maximum light.
