Collection: DAF Steering Filters (2)

Power steering filters for DAF trucks. Compatible with XF, CF and LF series, with OE-quality and genuine options for clean hydraulic fluid and reliable steering performance.

Steering Filters for DAF Trucks

DAF trucks across the XF, CF and LF range use hydraulic power steering systems that rely on a clean, contaminant-free fluid circuit. The steering filter prevents wear particles and debris from reaching the pump and rack, extending the service life of both components. Truckstop stocks steering filters for all current DAF series in OE-quality and genuine specification.

Maintaining the DAF Power Steering System

DAF service schedules include periodic power steering fluid and filter changes. Keeping to the recommended interval is particularly important on higher-mileage vehicles where the fluid accumulates more wear products between service events. Running a clogged or overdue filter puts additional load on the pump and can accelerate seal wear in the steering circuit.

What DAF models are covered by the steering filters in this range?

The range covers DAF XF, CF and LF models across current and recent build years. Some older DAF series may require a different specification. If your vehicle is not listed, contact the Truckstop trade team with the chassis number or existing part number and we will confirm the correct filter.

How often should the steering filter be replaced on a DAF truck?

DAF recommends replacing the power steering filter at each hydraulic service, which typically falls every one to two years depending on model and operation. For vehicles in arduous service such as construction, waste management or heavy haulage, more frequent inspection and replacement is advisable.

Can I replace the DAF steering filter without draining the power steering system?

Some DAF steering filter designs allow the filter to be replaced with minimal fluid loss if the change is carried out quickly. However, for a complete service it is best practice to replace both the filter and the fluid at the same time. Full draining allows contaminated fluid to be removed and ensures the new filter starts with clean fluid in the system.
