Serenco workshop tools at Truckstop Group

Serenco distributes several tool brands, and the collection is easiest to browse by brand. Powerhand covers die grinders, measuring tools, oil and filter equipment and other general workshop tools. BOXO supplies sockets, impact sockets and hand tools, such as its 13-piece 1/4-inch MULTIfix spline socket set.

For electrical work, Power Probe makes the circuit tracer and short finder kit, which traces a fault along a harness without cutting into it. POWERSTART jump packs include the 1224HD, a 12V and 24V unit with two 26Ah batteries rated at 1100CCA. SEALS supplies tyre plug kits, NOCO supplies battery accessories, and KNIPEX diagonal cutting nippers and the BOOTGUN universal flexible boot tool are also in the range.

The PCL tread depth gauge is listed as VOSA approved; VOSA became part of DVSA in 2014. More test equipment is in diagnostics, and other jump packs are in battery tools and boosters.

Which brands are in the Serenco range?

What does the Power Probe circuit tracer do?

It sends a signal into a circuit, which you then follow with the tracer probe to find a break or short without cutting into the wiring harness. On HGVs and trailers with long harness runs, that saves time stripping back looms to find a fault.

Will the POWERSTART jump pack start a 24V truck?

The POWERSTART 1224HD covers both 12V and 24V, with two 26Ah batteries rated at 1100CCA. Keep it charged between uses so it is ready when a vehicle will not start.

What is the legal minimum tread depth on HGV tyres?

HGV and bus tyres need at least 1mm of tread across three-quarters of the tread width, all round the tyre, under Regulation 27 of the Construction and Use Regulations 1986. Cars and light vans have the higher 1.6mm minimum. The PCL tread depth gauge in this range is listed as VOSA approved; VOSA is now part of DVSA.
