Sachs clutch kits and components for trucks

Sachs makes clutch systems for commercial vehicles, and complete clutch kits are the largest part of the Sachs range we stock. Each kit and cover is listed by make, diameter, single or twin plate, and push or pull operation, for example a Scania 430mm single pull kit including the concentric slave cylinder, or a Volvo 400mm twin pull kit.

Those details are what decide fit. Two clutches with the same diameter can still differ on operation type, spline or the gearbox they mate with, so confirm all of them from the old clutch or the OE part number before ordering. Separate clutch covers run from 380mm to 430mm, with concentric slave cylinders for Renault Trucks and MAN, and flywheels for Scania and Mercedes.

For other brands, see clutch kits and clutch covers.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right Sachs clutch kit?

You need the make, model, engine, gearbox, clutch diameter, single or twin plate, and push or pull operation. The OE part number from the old clutch covers all of these in one reference. Call us on 01527 68279 if you need help confirming it.

What is the difference between a push and pull clutch?

It describes how the release bearing operates the diaphragm spring. A push clutch is released by pushing the bearing into the spring fingers; a pull clutch is released by pulling them. The two need different release systems and are not interchangeable.

Do Sachs kits include the concentric slave cylinder?

Some do. The kit title states it where it is included, for example the Scania 430mm single pull kit includes the CSC. Check the listing before ordering, and if the CSC is not included, consider replacing it while the gearbox is out.

Should I replace the flywheel with the clutch?

Inspect it whenever the clutch is out. Heat cracks, scoring or a worn friction face will shorten the life of a new clutch. Sachs flywheels are stocked for Scania and Mercedes applications; for other makes, call us on 01527 68279 with the OE number.

Which makes do the Sachs clutch kits cover?

The range covers DAF, Scania, Volvo, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Iveco, Isuzu and Mitsubishi, with some Seddon applications. Diameters run from 300mm on lighter trucks such as the Isuzu up to 430mm.
