Sachs clutch covers and components for HGV applications
Sachs is a ZF Group brand producing clutch systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The range at Truckstop covers clutch covers in both push and pull configurations across 380mm, 395mm, 400mm, 420mm and 430mm diameters, concentric slave cylinders (CSC) for MAN and Renault Trucks, and flywheels for Scania and Mercedes.
Make coverage includes DAF, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Renault Trucks. Some clutch covers are common to more than one make, such as the 430mm pull unit listed for Volvo/Renault Trucks combined applications. When ordering, confirm the diameter, push or pull operation type, and make/model fitment. These three parameters determine compatibility and cannot be assumed from diameter alone.
Concentric slave cylinders replace the conventional clutch fork and release bearing arrangement. They are hydraulically operated and bolt directly to the gearbox bellhousing. Sachs CSCs are application-specific: the MAN and Renault Trucks variants are not interchangeable. For full clutch kit assemblies including friction disc, see our Clutch collection.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a push and pull clutch cover?
The terms describe how the diaphragm spring operates the release bearing. A push-type cover requires the release bearing to push inward against the diaphragm spring fingers to disengage the clutch. A pull-type works in reverse. The two types require different release systems and are not interchangeable on a given gearbox and bellhousing combination.
How do I know which Sachs clutch cover fits my truck?
You need the make, model, engine variant, gearbox type, diameter and whether the existing cover is push or pull operation. The OE part number from the old cover is the most reliable cross-reference. Call us on 01527 598 000 if you need help confirming the right part.
Does Truckstop stock Sachs flywheels?
We stock Sachs flywheels for Scania and Mercedes CV applications. If you need a flywheel for a different make or need to confirm compatibility with a specific engine variant, call us with the chassis details.
Are Sachs concentric slave cylinders application-specific?
Yes. The MAN and Renault Trucks CSCs in the range are not interchangeable. Always confirm the make and model before ordering.
Can I buy Sachs parts with next-day delivery?
Yes. In-stock Sachs parts are available for next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses or same-day collection from our Redditch, Worcester, Birmingham and Evesham branches.
