Yuasa truck, car and leisure batteries
Most of the Yuasa range we stock is truck batteries from the YBX Super Heavy Duty line, from 110Ah up to the 230Ah, 1350A YBX5625. The YBX5625 and YBX3663 are sealed maintenance-free (SMF) units. For cars and vans there are Yuasa SMF, Silver High Performance and AGM Start Stop Plus batteries, and the Active Leisure batteries cover cab and habitation loads.
Order by Yuasa code where you can. The code fixes the case size and terminal layout as well as the capacity, which a capacity figure alone does not. On a 24V truck, two 12V batteries are wired in series, and both should normally be replaced together so the new battery is not paired with a worn one.

Which Yuasa battery fits my truck?
Use the Yuasa code from the battery you are replacing, or match its dimensions, capacity (Ah), cold cranking amps and terminal layout. If you are unsure, call us on 01527 68279 with the vehicle make, model and year and we'll confirm the right battery.
Why replace both batteries on a 24V truck?
A 24V truck runs two 12V batteries in series. If a new battery is paired with a worn one, the two charge and discharge unevenly and the new battery's life is shortened, so replace them as a pair.
Are Yuasa batteries good for HGVs?
The YBX Super Heavy Duty range is built for commercial vehicles, with capacities in our range from 110Ah to 230Ah and cold cranking ratings up to 1350A. Choose by the code and ratings your vehicle needs, not the highest figure available.
What is the difference between SMF and AGM Yuasa batteries?
SMF (sealed maintenance free) batteries are flooded lead-acid batteries that do not need topping up. AGM batteries hold the electrolyte in glass mat separators, which suits vehicles with stop-start systems and heavier electrical loads. Replace an AGM battery with another AGM.
What does CCA mean on a battery?
Cold cranking amps: the current a battery can deliver at low temperature to start an engine. A higher CCA helps in cold weather and on larger engines. The YBX5625, for example, is rated at 1350A.
