Hella headlight spares and upgrade modules at Truckstop Group

The headlight spares range at Truckstop is primarily composed of Hella headlight inserts and modules, covering the Hella 90mm performance insert platform and the C140 and Combi 220 series.

Hella 90mm inserts are available in several configurations. The L4060 DE (projector) inserts are available for 12/24V with FEP lens in SAE and ECE approvals. The L4060 LED/DE insert combines LED and DE optics in a single 90mm unit for 24/12V. The Bi-LED L70 modules are a full bi-LED replacement for 90mm applications at 12/24V (AMP connector). Halogen inserts in the Modul 60 and 90mm performance configurations cover standard replacement requirements. The Essential R80 LED headlight (90mm round, 24/12V) is also listed.

The C140 LED headlights are available in left and right hand in 24/12V with SAE/ECE and DEUTSCH plug. The Combi 220 headlights are 24V units in left and right hand fitment. A universal halogen headlight at 24/12V with AMP 4-pin connector covers additional applications. Headlight caps (9GH series) are stocked as service items.

When selecting a headlight insert, the key parameters are the housing diameter, voltage, the optical type (halogen, DE or LED), the lens approval (ECE or SAE) and the connector type. These vary across the Hella range and are specified on each product page.

Frequently asked questions

What is a DE headlight insert?

DE stands for Differential Ellipsoid, a projector-type optic that uses a reflector and a lens to produce a precisely controlled, high-intensity beam with a sharp cut-off line. DE inserts are used in headlamps requiring good beam pattern definition, particularly for vehicles operating under ECE regulation requirements.

What is the difference between a Bi-LED and a standard LED headlight insert?

A Bi-LED module produces both low-beam and high-beam output from a single LED unit, using a shutter mechanism to switch between them. A standard LED insert may produce one beam pattern only. The Hella Bi-LED L70 is a bi-function replacement for 90mm headlight applications.

Are Hella headlight inserts ECE approved?

Approvals vary by product. The L4060 inserts are available with ECE or SAE approvals depending on the variant; the ECE version is required for road use in the UK and EU. Check the specific listing for the approval applicable to each product.

Can I fit a Hella 90mm insert myself?
