For maximum control and flexibility with regards your auxiliary lighting installations, Lazer is pleased to offer a Bluetooth push button. Compatible with the CANNY Interface, the Smart Button enables control of your lights without the need for connecting additional wires within your vehicle

The CANNY Smart Button can be installed anywhere within the vehicle, or on your person, within 10m of the CANNY Interface it’s paired with. It allows for lighting functions to be controlled at the touch of a button, and via the CANNY.LZR app can be configured to control up to 4 outputs, as a stand-alone switch or in combination with other CANNY Smart Buttons. The Smart Button can also be programmed to operate lights regardless of the vehicle ignition being on (or more specifically regardless of power being received by the vehicle’s CAN bus system).

Examples of practical functions include:

De/activation of your high beam lights (regardless of the vehicle high beams being on/off) – especially relevant in countries which restrict the number of auxiliary lights permissible to be connected to the vehicle high beams.
De/activation, or switching, of the position light function on your Lazer product.
De/activation of your work / reverse lights on the vehicle. The customer can select via the CANNY App whether to configure the button so that the CANNY output stays on, or switches off, when the vehicle ignition is off (and when CAN signals stop being sent over the Can Bus system)
Mode select on Beacon function of your lamps
Note, when using CANNY Smart Button to control the yellow dip mode of an Elite+ product, it would be required to wire in an additional relay to the switching channel of the lamp, to reverse the polarity of the signal. Please check out our blog piece for details on how to do this.

The CANNY Smart Button isn’t only compatible with auxiliary lighting solutions. Via the CANNY Interface, the Smart Button can be configured to operate the outputs of CANNY, regardless if those outputs have been set to control auxiliary lighting, or other 12V accessories fitted to the vehicle.

Canny is a CAN interface, developed by Lazer Lamps, that enables installation of auxiliary lights for selected vehicles using CAN communication systems, where it is otherwise not possible to pick-up 12V lighting signals at the back of the vehicle headlamp for example. Comprising a Canny Dongle, plus wiring loom, and supported by a dedicated app (CANNY.LZR), the system benefits from being able to mount within your vehicle’s engine bay for faster and easier installation, or inside the vehicle. Over-the-air Bluetooth synchronisation and updates furthers the systems ease of use and speed of installation. The Dongle comprises an automotive standard Molex connector, ensuring a completely watertight solution, to IP68. Integrated design features and included cable ties facilitate mounting of the unit. Locating the device within the engine bay is preferable for ease of install, but will be dependent on the CAN Hi / CAN Lo wires pick-up location on each vehicle. Connection to the vehicle CAN wires is made via the supplied wiring loom, with the blue (CAN Hi) and yellow (CAN Lo) wires supplied with automotive grade heat-seal crimps for completing watertight connections. The supplied wiring loom also includes a fused battery positive connection, and ground wire. Additionally 4 output wires, each programable to respond to different inputs, whether: high beam, position light, ignition, reverse etc., and compatible with any of our vehicle wiring kits (where the required output is >1Amp). Activation, synchronisation, and ongoing updates of your Canny Dongle are achieved through the app. Having gained full access via the unique serial number and PIN on your device, users can then access installation guides for their vehicle, before pairing with the device and assigning and testing the different lighting functions. Updates, for example following a vehicle manufacturer making changes to the CAN ‘recipes’, can also be completed via Bluetooth.

The Y-Splitter complete with 2-pin superseal connections, is the ideal solution for wiring multiple low power Lazer Lamps avoiding the need for additional wiring kits run in parallel. The splitter is an ideal solution for wiring 3 or more lights, where the power rating of each light is 75W or less, and a corresponding 4-Lamp Wiring Kit doesn’t already exist for example. Centre mounting bracket includes A2 stainless steel hardware combined with extremely tough PA66 GF30 (glass filled nylon) ruggedised mounts. The Linear Stay Bar kit comprises a 2mm stainless steel stabilising 'arm', comprising two parts, which fits to the Lazer Lamps range of Linear LED spotlights. The stabilising arm is secured to the lamp using the supplied bracket, before fixing to an additional rigid mounting location on your vehicle, thereby reducing vibration, stress, and movement which can affect some light installations. The Linear Anti-Theft Side Bracket Kit offers customers peace of mind of fixing products with extra protection against theft. The stainless steel brackets are pre-treated for maximium corrosion resitance then poweder coated black. The supplied fasteners are all A2 stainless steel and have a unique locking key both in respect of fixing the lights to the brackets, and the brackets to the vehicle. Bracket orientation can be altered in order to raise/lower the light <13mm relative to the vehicle mounting point.

Specifically designed for the Utility-25 work light, the Amber lens cover engages perfectly with the lamp housing for a secure fitting, that allows the colour of light to be changed from 5000 kelvin to ‘selective yellow’.
